Avast!

Posted on/at 12:42 PM by The Goddess

I didn't realize when I installed Avast! that it has a pop-up every time it pulls a virus update from the web. I was awakened from a sound sleep by a woman shouting, "Avast warning! Your virus database has been updated." With a name like Avast!, she should at least throw in a "maties," or "me hearties," or a good solid "Aaaarrrrrr!" with that.

And yes, I found the kill switch.

Harry

Posted on/at 6:25 PM by The Goddess

Halloween 2003. Conner was in kindergarten. I'm aware of my bias in thinking my kid's cute, but total strangers at the Halloween party at the fairgrounds came up to us all night to tell us he had the best Harry Potter costume they'd ever seen. I remember what a blast the kids had that night. He still has the scarf I made. Such a sentimental kid.
